MIAMI — The longtime residence of the Miami Warmth is getting a brand new title.
Miami-Dade County has finalized a brand new 19-year settlement with FTX, a cryptocurrency change, to rename AmericanAirlines Area.
“It is a historic funding for Miami-Dade — $90 million over 19 years that we’ll put to make use of to sort out a few of our most urgent challenges and construct a more healthy, safer neighborhood,” Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said in a statement Friday. “We’re grateful to FTX for his or her funding in Miami-Dade and proud to deliver this partnership residence.”
The bayfront area alongside Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami has been known as AmericanAirlines Area because it opened in 1999.
Beneath the brand new deal, the venue can be known as FTX Area.
